As lash artists, it's essential to understand blepharitis and its various causes to educate our clients on proper lash care and prevent the discomfort associated with this condition. Blepharitis is defined as the inflammation of the eyelid or eyelid margins, where the eyelashes grow. This inflammation occurs when white blood cells surface to protect the eyes against foreign substances, leading to symptoms like irritated, itchy eyelids and eyelash dandruff.
